Healthcare for Rural Animals
In rural Punjab, livestock are family—sources of livelihood, milk, and agricultural labor. Yet veterinary care remains inaccessible for most farmers. Sick cattle go untreated, pets suffer from preventable diseases, and animal deaths devastate already struggling families. Our Free Veterinary Camp initiative brings professional veterinary services directly to villages, ensuring no animal suffers due to lack of access to care.
Over three months, we conducted 15 mobile veterinary camps across 12 villages. Each camp operated for two days, providing comprehensive health services: checkups, vaccinations, deworming, minor surgeries, and treatments for common ailments. Our team of veterinarians, para-vets, and support staff treated over 500 animals—cattle, buffaloes, goats, dogs, and cats—completely free of charge.

Beyond Treatment: Awareness and Prevention
The camps served a dual purpose—immediate treatment and long-term prevention. We conducted educational sessions on animal nutrition, disease prevention, proper housing, and breeding practices. Farmers learned to identify early signs of common illnesses, understand vaccination schedules, and implement basic first aid. This knowledge empowers them to maintain their animals' health between camp visits.
We also addressed critical issues like animal abuse and neglect. Through awareness sessions, farmers learned about animal welfare, humane treatment, and the economic benefits of healthy livestock. Pet owners received guidance on responsible pet care, neutering benefits, and rabies prevention. The camps became community events where farmers exchanged knowledge, shared experiences, and built support networks for animal care.

Transforming Lives, One Animal at a Time
"My buffalo was sick for weeks. I couldn't afford a vet, and she was getting worse. The camp saved her life and my family's livelihood," shares Balwinder Singh, a dairy farmer. "They didn't just treat her—they taught me how to keep her healthy. I'll never forget this help."
